Oil on Canvas

This is the first in my series of "Ode to Alphonse Mucha." I love Mucha's approach of combining figure with landscape and decorative and symbolic components. In this piece, I integrate the image of one of my favorite models, Heather Hoxsey, with the landscape and flora of Eaton Canyon in Southern CA, and symbols representing the goddess, Hekate, "Mother of Angels and the Cosmic World Soul." I like to think of it as the blending of three unique spirits: Mucha, Hoxsey, and Miller, as portrayed by the artist, Lin.
